Memorial Day ceremony and 19th annual Ghost Walk to be held at Hope Cemetery

Memorial Day Ghost Walk information

All community members are invited to Hope Cemetery in downtown Waterbury on Monday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. for a traditional Memorial Day ceremony led by American Legion Post 59, followed by the 19th annual Ghost Walk.


The walk will feature stories about:

Vintage high school class portrait.
Andrew Brown, back center, Waterbury High School class of 1906.

Andrew Brown - a day in the life of a railroad station agent;


Roy Arnold - creator of the hand-carved circus parade in Shelburne Museum's horseshoe barn; and
Man with display of model horses.
Roy Arnold with his horse models.
The Hobart brothers - two Vermont boys who made millions in the Gold Rush and have a connection to Shaw Mansion Road in Waterbury.

This event is free and open to all members of the public. We recommend bringing a lawn chair. Rain or shine.
